Is August Dangerous!?

Interviewer: There is currently an opinion that August is the unluckiest month. This month accounts for the largest number of disasters and tragedies.

Why is this month considered — as some call it — a “cursed” month, and what dangers should we expect in August 2025?

Svetlana: I would like to say that not every August is all that dramatic. People remember August for events like 1998 (August), 2008 (August) — all of which were generally connected to solar eclipses. And that really is always a sign that things will change, and usually these are quite critical events.

But to outright say that August is such a cursed month — I wouldn’t put it that way. Those are different things. Sometimes there’s an eclipse in August, sometimes there isn’t. And it’s not necessarily connected with eclipses. Months can be different. I can’t agree with the idea of August being permanently negative.

Interviewer: In August 2025, should we expect any major, grand-scale events? Will there be eclipses in 2025? Will there be significant events after August?

Svetlana: Well, first of all, we all know there’s the so-called planetary alignment coming up. And it’s linked to potentially very serious problems. But what I want to say is that the planetary alignment is not an event in and of itself, although this time it may be quite distinctly expressed, since at the same time Mercury will also be retrograde, and that always brings irrational situations, irrational decisions, technical failures. And its position suggests that such irrational decisions and inattentiveness could lead to various unpleasant, even fire-hazardous incidents, for example. Nature, of course, could also respond to this.

We might see obvious problems — political, natural, and so on — locally around August 10, 2025. But it won’t be anything super fatal. It’s more of a prelude, a hint at grand changes that will begin very soon and could start reshaping the world. But again, retrograde Mercury doesn’t always show the full picture. It’s as if it keeps it in reserve to reveal a bit later. And, by the way, it’s worth noting that Mercury will go direct (i.e., forward after retrograde motion) on August 12, 2025, and several days after that date — the first three, maybe four days — could be dangerous for many individuals due to very abrupt decisions that later can’t be undone. This could be, for example, breakups, decisions to leave something, or sudden moves that later, even if one wanted to, couldn’t be reversed.

So here, of course, it’s important to remain rational, calm, and understand that it will be very difficult to orient oneself psychologically or logically under these conditions. Considering that the planets are now gaining strength and momentum in preparation for an entire period of eclipses in September 2025. And we can say that this planetary alignment is not some isolated event — it’s a chain of events, the starting point for major changes. But these changes that will take place in September 2025 will bring the most fragile situations to a catharsis… and will force the need to make decisions.

I believe that most often at that moment they will be wrong, critical, maybe even aggressive. In fact, I would call September a more serious and dramatic month. It’s truly a month that will require readiness — for example, someone might face quite serious health problems. Yes, there could be natural problems too, and very serious ones.

There could be issues related to the dollar as well, which may start experiencing significant fluctuations, not in its favor. Usually, an eclipse initially brings a kind of deception — for example, we may see the dollar make a sharp upward move, only to then drop.

So it’s hard to say that we can look at this constructively. Rather, this is a time when one should pause, reflect, not rush into decisions — as if rearranging the furniture in a room or changing the scenery, because everything is heading in that direction.

Therefore, I would say that August, with its astrological and astronomical indicators, simply hints at the start of global changes that will occur over the next several months. And that is what should be taken seriously. What is planetary alignment? It’s as if a new scenario is being proposed, a reboot of the script.

And indeed, perhaps I’m looking a bit further ahead, but the next, say, six months will bring us colossal changes. And if we talk about the sine wave of the most intense moments, of course September 2025 is at the peak. But August is when it already begins, and at that moment we need to orient ourselves correctly. What do we want? What ideas are we pursuing, what results are we aiming for, what have we planned?

So I think this August is truly a time that gives a sense of turbulence — but that turbulence is like a preamble to more serious changes.
