Israel with aspirations to geopolitical leadership

Forecast: “Israel and Those Aligned with It. Brief Notes on the Future of Israel, Netanyahu. Occasional Remarks on Turkey” (published September 14, 2026, link)

S. Dragan:

…By around mid-September 2026, approximately September 14, 2026, Israel's plans are once again taking the form of a claim to geopolitical leadership and a special status as a geopolitical player…

Israel's aspirations to geopolitical leadership were especially vividly demonstrated by Netanyahu in his speech at the UN General Assembly in late September 2026.

He considered it possible for his country, which itself effectively possesses nuclear weapons (although this is not officially confirmed), to prevent the bloodthirsty regime in Iran from developing nuclear weapons—a nuclear bomb intended to destroy the State of Israel, nuclear weapons that could pose a threat to the entire world...” (Netanyahu quote).

At the same time, it is unclear on what grounds Netanyahu assumes the right to decide for another state how it should ensure its security.

Netanyahu, without any embarrassment, extols the importance of these actions, claiming that “If we had not done this, we would all have perished…”. In this case, the destruction of all of Iran is at stake. And here, Netanyahu has no moral constraints whatsoever. As, incidentally, in the destruction of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu reserves for his country the right to have colonies (to seize other people's territories) beyond Israel's borders (as defined by a UN resolution), effectively relying solely on the right of the strong to seize territories historically belonging to other countries, while rejecting all accusations on this matter from other countries.

Netanyahu justifies this by the right to stand alongside other colonizers, responding to all accusations against him: “Colonialism, really (regarding the Golan Heights)! And who is accusing us? Among those accusing us are France and the United Kingdom. They themselves had colonies scattered all over the globe. Another lie…”.

For some reason, Netanyahu forgot to mention that colonial regimes collapsed and that countries previously part of the French and British empires gained their independence.

And all of this is a continuation of the implementation of what Netanyahu himself had previously called “his historical and spiritual mission to create Greater Israel.” These statements by Netanyahu were regarded in the Arab world as tantamount to the occupation of a significant part of the territory of Islamic countries.

Israeli political leaders and leading businessmen defend Israel's special status as a geopolitical player on the world stage in a wide variety of fields. One of the main ones today is space.

On September 13, 2026, in an interview with the Maariv podcast, IAI Board Chairman Boaz Levy stated that Israel is approaching the world's top three space leaders among countries, while Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has effectively already become a “space superpower.”

Over one year, since the fall of 2025, and already during military operations, Israel launched three spacecraft: the Dror communications satellite and two Ofek reconnaissance satellites, the expert recalled. “This demonstrates the capabilities of a superpower. At the height of the war, we added more ‘eyes’ in the sky and another communications link,” Levy noted.

The growing number of observation spacecraft, he continued, creates a body of data subsequently used by AI systems. Levy also confirmed plans to deploy a constellation of small satellites allowing continuous monitoring of territory from Iran to Turkey.

“I would not use the word ‘flood.’ This is not about endless quantities; it is about many satellites—this is a program,” he clarified.

According to him, the program has already been approved by the government and is being implemented. Funding comes partly from the company's research budget and partly from the Ministry of Defense.

“Israel must become a space power, at least among the world's top three. I think we are getting very close to that,” the publication's source added.

Netanyahu has also not abandoned plans to implement the idea of turning Israel into a global hub for transporting Middle Eastern gas. In this case, both Arab energy-producing countries and recipients, above all the European Union, become dependent on Tel Aviv.

Since the beginning of the Persian Gulf war, which was initiated by Netanyahu, he has said: “In my opinion, it is necessary to develop alternative routes. Instead of passages through the bottlenecks of the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, pipelines for oil and gas heading west—across the Arabian Peninsula, directly to Israel, where they can be exported from our Mediterranean ports—are needed to ensure uninterrupted oil supplies. Such an approach will eliminate the bottleneck problem forever, and I am confident that it can be implemented in the shortest possible time.”

According to Netanyahu, such changes in the Middle East's logistics infrastructure could become a consequence of the current Israeli-American military campaign against Iran.

But Israel wishes to be not only a country that “transports” energy resources, but also to possess them. In this regard, its struggle with Turkey over deposits in the Mediterranean Sea is becoming seriously more intense.

Today, the interests of Tel Aviv and Ankara clash along many lines: from the division of gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea to the struggle for influence in Syria. Erdoğan is attempting to use the Syrian crisis to resolve the internal Kurdish issue and expand his presence in the Middle East, which directly contradicts Israel's strategic plans.

Regarding the rather aggressive and unpredictable future actions of Israel's leader himself, S. Dragan notes:

…His (Netanyahu's) drive for aggressive military action looks absurd… Of course, this absurdity is only external and may contradict all logic. But in reality, very serious money and power are at stake for him. There is a clear possibility that he may initiate military action…

To be continued...

S. Dragan forecasts:

…Of course, from the perspective of an outside observer, this causes surprise and an internal contradiction given the understanding of global processes at the present time. But the planets do not ask; they describe such a situation, or perhaps dictate it. The goals may be fatal (for Israel), but this will become evident only on the eve of spring 2027, and more likely closer to February 6, 2027…
