Forecast: "Iran - Interference of Events and Forecast of a Broader Spectrum in the Near Future" (published on March 6, 2026, link)

S. Dragan:

On March 11, 2026, the Ruble is likely to depreciate against the Dollar. There may be a struggle, and many may think the Ruble is going up, but it will ultimately decrease. In any case, for Russia, the period around March 2026 appears quite negative, considering the Central Bank will be engaged in new, "unorthodox" exercises related to the closure of important communication platforms. This resembles a temporary dead end for Russia, though not as monumental yet.

As a reminder, by March 6, 2026 (the date of the forecast's publication), the Dollar had been gradually strengthening: on March 4, 1 dollar equaled 77.6093 rubles; on March 5, 1 dollar equaled 77.8009 rubles; on March 6, 1 dollar equaled 78.1900 rubles.

By March 11, 2026, "many may think the Ruble is going up." If on March 10, 1 dollar equaled 79.1500 rubles, then on March 11, 1 dollar equaled 78.7396 rubles.

"But it all turned out to be a decrease": on March 12, 1 dollar equaled 79.068 rubles; on March 16, 1 dollar equaled 80.2254 rubles; on March 23, 1 dollar equaled 83.9982 rubles.

And as a result, "for Russia, the March 2026 outlook appears quite negative."

To some extent, "it reminded of a temporary standstill for Russia, though not as epochal..."

After March 24, 2026, the ruble began to strengthen: on March 30, 1 dollar was equal to 81.1443 rubles; on April 3, 1 dollar was equal to 80.3332 rubles.

D.Dragan further predicted: "By April 23, 2026, the game will change and the Dollar may experience a temporary downturn. ... Fundamental circumstances will influence this."
