In the confirmation on June 1, "Israel seeks to strengthen its positions" noted that by the end of May, the military actions in southern Lebanon "temporarily give Israel a sense of victory."
And here it's crucial to emphasize the word "temporarily."

Iran, in response to these provocations, has made it clear to the US that if they want to continue negotiations, they need to rein in Israel in Lebanon, Advance reports.
Unconfirmed reports have emerged of a tense conversation between US and Israeli leaders. Apparently, Trump called Netanyahu a "sleeping" one during the conversation at a high volume. However, it does not seem he will be reining in Israel. The world is merely witnessing another performance with its own purpose.
