Two American officials confirmed that no calls had come in, and the military had not received any new orders.

Trump added that Israel "will join in two minutes" if it asks. The White House chief also stated that the U.S. "doesn't need anyone" to start a new operation against Iran.

The American leader noted that Iranians "want to negotiate," but they are not ready for a deal. "They haven't suffered enough yet", he said.

Based on U.S. President Donald Trump's plans to potentially expand military operations against Iran, additional forces and weaponry are being deployed to the region. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on July 23, 2026, citing sources.

"The U.S. is moving troops, medical personnel, and weaponry to the Middle East to give President Trump more military options as he considers expanding the conflict with Iran," the publication notes.

The benchmark Brent crude oil reached a psychological mark of $100 per barrel on July 24, 2026 (at the end of the workweek), jumping in price by more than 13% in just a few days.
