Donald Trump is completely crazy. July 2026

Forecast: “Global World Events in the Upcoming Months” (published March 18, 2026, link)

S. Dragan:

But whatever happens, in July 2026, this man (Donald Trump) might, so to speak, completely lose it. And that would be very dangerous. His position and philosophy, if one can call it that, will be so bizarre, resembling even a religious delusion. It's like building the world according to his vision.

To begin today's Confirmation, let's start with words once said by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt: “A businessman cannot be a statesman.” Perhaps these words hold the answer to many questions and misunderstandings about how and why many leaders of Western countries act today. But let's focus on the US for now.

This July, Donald Trump has taken many actions that can fully be considered in the context of S. Dragan's forecast: “...in July 2026, this man (Donald Trump) might, so to speak, completely lose it”.

Let's list only some of them. And we start with those relatively safe for international peace.

Outrage among Donald Trump's opponents and confusion among his supporters has led to increased funding for the White House ballroom, which was again remembered during the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of US independence in early July of this year.

The cost of building the White House ballroom, initiated by the US administration, has tripled compared to initial estimates and is approaching $600 million. According to documents, $307 million is expected to be allocated from federal sources.

As the publication WP reminds, US President Donald Trump previously stated that no government funds would be spent on the project, which was his long-standing dream. He said corporate sponsors, including Amazon, Apple, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Caterpillar, should provide the financing. However, according to the documents, $307 million is still expected to be allocated from federal sources.

According to WP, numerous brief project descriptions provided to the White House by Clark Construction indicate that "internal cost estimates were significantly higher than administration representatives acknowledged in public statements or court documents." The article also reminds that, from the project's announcement, it was expected that the works would be "financed largely by taxpayer money."

However, some external observers note that it would indeed be strange for Donald Trump, as a "successful" businessman who he remains as the President of the United States, to invest in the initially budgeted amount without subsequent increases and not draw on government funds for his project.

Donald Trump also made his presence known at the largest sporting event that took place. From mid-June to mid-July, the FIFA World Cup was held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Even in this realm, "...his (Donald Trump's) position...if one can call it that, will be so strange, even resembling...a delusion. It's like building a (football) world according to his vision."

Trump managed to interfere with FIFA's judiciary and overturn a red card, becoming the "world football referee."

US footballer Folarin Balogun avoided suspension and was allowed to play in the round of 16 against Belgium, despite being sent off in the previous game. FIFA "acceded" to the American forward after a call from the White House. Donald Trump was pleased. The US is allowed to do everything, including rewriting football rules when it benefits the American team.

To say that this caused outrage throughout the football world would be an understatement.

But in this case, the football god restored justice. The US team still suffered a crushing defeat against Belgium.

In the wake of this defeat, another peculiarity of Donald Trump emerged. A politician of his caliber should not be swayed by his mood in international affairs and important decisions that depend on so much in this world.

But this does not apply to the current US president. Trump arrived at the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7th of this year in a bad mood. Everyone was speculating on the main reason: "The US lost to Belgium" or "Europe is not participating in the Gulf War"?

The unflattering state of his spirit was openly declared by Donald Trump himself: "If it weren't for Erdoğan - my friend, I wouldn't have come at all." A rather strange position for the leader of the main NATO country to participate in a summit of the bloc depending on his mood.

And in spite of good relations with his Turkish friend, Donald Trump suddenly lifted sanctions he had imposed on Turkey during his first presidential term for Ankara's purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems.

At the same time, he gave the go-ahead for Turkey to purchase the latest American F-35 fighter jets, which provoked outrage and protest from another of his friends - Benjamin Netanyahu.

On July 17 of this year, Donald Trump made another ambiguous political and diplomatic move. Possibly already seeking excuses for a potential defeat of his party in the November elections for Congress, he named four countries - Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran - as threats to the US electoral system. He made this statement at a press conference in the White House.

“Opponents of the US, including at a minimum Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, as well as non-state actors, possess capabilities to compromise US electoral infrastructure,” he emphasized.

However, we should remember that earlier Donald Trump stated that those who accused Russia of interfering in American elections were actually to blame, and these were the Democrats.

Politicians are asking: “Isn’t Donald Trump’s short memory regarding those who do interfere in US elections a bit strange?”

The peculiarity of Donald Trump's mood and behavior is “very dangerous” in the affairs of the global community this July.

This was most evident in the Persian Gulf zone, which had only just “breathed a sigh of relief” after the memorandum signed between Washington and Tehran at the end of June. But not for long...

Hostilities resumed at the beginning of July, and each side accuses the other.

The ceasefire regime with Iran is no longer in effect, declared U.S. President Donald Trump at the NATO summit in Ankara on July 8, 2026.

“I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them,” he told reporters.

Trump also described negotiations with Iran as a “waste of time”.

In the early hours of July 8 this year, the United States launched a series of strikes against Iran in response to attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

NBC News reported that new US military strikes against Iran in the early hours of July 8th were more extensive than previous ones.

In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's Navy and Air Force attacked 85 US military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the US's repeated strikes and the revocation of a license for the sale of Iranian oil have made the provisions of the memorandum on the cessation of hostilities ineffective.

The blatant violation by Donald Trump of his pre-election pledge not to drag the country into any military actions is indeed peculiar. Meanwhile, the promise to end existing wars has been forgotten.

Politicians are wondering: “Why is Trump risking defeat in the midterm elections by resuming the unpopular war with Iran?”

Less than a month after declaring a ceasefire, Trump resumed strikes against Iran. Experts warn that this move could prolong the war and harm Republicans ahead of the midterm elections.

And here, experts suggest looking at the psychological profile of the US president himself.

For half a century, Donald Trump has walked a tightrope, taking big risks and breaking time-honored norms to achieve his goals, according to an analytical piece in The Guardian. Such an approach has paid off: it helped him survive several bankruptcies and become a billionaire, as well as numerous legal and political scandals that didn't stop him from being elected president of the US twice.

Now, the American leader, who once owned some of the world's most famous casinos, may be ready to take the most risky step of his presidency so far and resume war with Iran less than a month after reaching a ceasefire agreement, which he said was necessary to avert an economic crisis on par with the Great Depression.

On July 8th of this year, Trump ordered the resumption of strikes against Iran's military and infrastructure targets, concluding that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) he signed on June 17th at the Palace of Versailles had lost its validity. Iran, in response, is launching drones and missiles at US allies in the Persian Gulf. The MoU faced harsh criticism from the neoconservative wing of the Republican Party, which dubbed it a capitulation to Iran.

Less than four months before the November midterm elections, where Democrats will attempt to regain control of both chambers of Congress, Trump appears to be risking a crushing defeat at the polls, stoking a conflict that is already unpopular among voters, partly due to its contribution to rising fuel and living costs. Furthermore, American soldiers are returning home in zinc coffins.

"There is not a single scenario where this would make any sense from a perspective of preserving Republican positions in midterm elections," said Kurt Mills, executive editor of the American Conservative magazine, which promotes isolationist foreign policy goals supported by Trump's "America First" slogan: "I think it's a complete failure. It shows that Trump really doesn't care about the midterm elections. He's like Icarus flying in the sun, it seems to be his personal vendetta against Iranians."

However, not everything strange or unclear in Donald Trump's behavior and actions can be explained by his unique personality. There may be deeper and not always visible processes at play.

Recent comments by U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who suggested that the U.S.-Iran MOU (signed in the middle of June this year) was intended to allow for strategic oil reserves to be replenished, thereby weakening Iran's position at the negotiations and temporarily easing pressure on fuel prices.

"The MOU was mainly needed by Trump to try to get what he wants, namely, to gain control over the strait or take it away from Iran," said Nasr. "Trump is trying to take away their control over the strait before negotiations begin, so they won’t be able to resist his demands on the nuclear program or any other issue."

As we recall, S. Dragan emphasized: "His (Donald Trump's) position and philosophy, if one can call it that, will be so strange, resembling even a religious delusion. It's like building a world according to his imagination.".

It is noted that the current political elite of the United States is swept by a wave of religious fundamentalism. And it's not just about the so-called MAGA Trump movement advocating a return to conservative values, things are much more complicated. America's attack on Iran, Trump's "anti-communist rallies" have taken on a "spiritual and religious" guise.

On July 8th of this year, U.S. President Donald Trump, at a press conference following the NATO summit in Turkey, stated that he could have been "the best communist in the world" and stood in a row with Vladimir Lenin, as he believes communist ideas can be easily "sold" to voters. This was reported by American media.

But S. Dragan predicts:

Once again, this will be a very dangerous path of delusion, which I will write more about. It will be akin to realizing that an avalanche is about to come down the mountain, and it gains such strength that it could turn the world upside down. By August 2026, this avalanche will start to topple key political systems, names, and countries. It appears to be a collapse for Netanyahu and a significant danger for Iran, even Greenland looks ominous. The world will be shaken as if someone upended a chessboard, and everyone forgets how the pieces were positioned. After that, the pieces will be placed on the board again, but they will be different and arranged differently.
