The updated Russian transportation strategy with a horizon to 2050 will be presented for final approval in November 2026 during "Transport Week." The document is in the final stages of development, according to a statement from the Russian Government.

"After a series of consultations with legislators and the relevant commission of the State Council, the document will be presented for final approval, which will take place in November 2026 during 'Transport Week,'" the statement notes.

The strategy aims to reduce travel time for passengers, develop digital logistics for businesses on the "Goslog" platform, and double container transport by 2050. Additionally, the document proposes increasing the share of domestic software in the transportation sector to 90-95% by 2036 and growing labor productivity by 25% by 2050.
