From mid-June 2026 - a significant water discharge, a water push anomaly, danger on the water due to overconfidence.
“Significant water discharge, a water push anomaly,” floods observed in some regions of Russia (see confirmation from June 15, 2026):
- On the Ob River in KhMAO, water level reached 949 cm, almost 30 cm above the critical level. Over 100 residential and cottage plots flooded.
- In the Tyumen Region, the Tura River, after drying up, rose by 6 cm in one day - reaching a mark of 387 cm.
- Sverdlovsk Region issued a storm warning due to heavy rainfall.
- In Krasnodar Krai, a dam broke through the Afipsky Canal, flooding lands in three settlements.
- In the Crimean region, due to a dam breach on the Kuban River, more than 11,000 hectares of land have been underwater as of June 19, 2026.
- After a powerful storm in Orenburg and nearby settlements, severe flooding occurred. Water inundated streets, the waterfront, and private properties.
- In the evening of June 22, 2026, a tornado struck the northern part of the Sverdlovsk Oblast. Kushva and neighboring areas were the hardest hit. In Kushva, the gusty wind ripped off roofs, damaged power lines, knocked down trees, and left residential areas without power.
As of June 22, 2026, flooding with rising water levels continues on rivers in the northwest of the Far Eastern Federal District.
A new challenge for several residents of Kushva was the flood after the tornado in Sverdlovsk Oblast on June 24, 2026. After the tornado in Sverdlovsk Oblast on June 22, 2026, passed through several streets in Kushva, 124 houses were damaged, 32 were completely destroyed. Emergency repair work was carried out in the city and neighboring settlements on June 23. It continues on June 24. Streets, underpasses, and residential areas were submerged. This led to significant disruptions in transportation and infrastructure.
A powerful flood occurred in southwest China. Heavy rains led to a sudden rise in river levels, flooding roads and blocking transportation routes due to fallen trees. Shipping is also disrupted, with hundreds of ferry crossings closed. Rescue teams are working to mitigate the effects of the disaster. Using inflatable boats, they navigated through the most dangerous areas and evacuated around 600 people.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, heavy monsoon rains hit the Indian state of Rajasthan. Turbulent streams flooded low-lying areas in a matter of hours. Due to ongoing thunderstorms and the threat of further water rise in the region, an orange level of danger was declared. According to information from the Indian Meteorological Department, the warning will remain in place at least until Thursday, June 25, 2026.
