Britain is under threat from serious catastrophic events

I am noting this date with some delay, but around August 24, 2026 (I am writing this forecast on the night of August 22–23, 2026), it will become clear that the issue of power is beginning to erode and that the United Kingdom is under threat of serious catastrophic events. The confirmation dated September 11 of this year already noted that, from the second half of 2025 to the present, information has begun to appear in various sources about signs of the United Kingdom losing its former greatness and the decline of its power as a global colonial empire.
But the media are discussing a number of new facts indicating that this process is continuing. They concern the United Kingdom’s territorial issues, which began to be discussed at the end of August but moved into the practical realm in September of this year.
On September 12, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump, at a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Dublin, spoke in favor of unifying Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is currently part of the United Kingdom.
Trump called such a prospect “fantastic” and said: “I don’t want to create problems, but I’ll tell you: I would very much like to see it [Ireland] united. It will happen eventually anyway. So why not have it happen right now?”
At the same time, the American leader noted that the final position on the issue remains with the United Kingdom.
Trump’s statement in itself does not initiate the process of Irish reunification and does not change Northern Ireland’s status. Under the 1998 Belfast Agreement, if a majority of Northern Ireland’s population expresses a desire to leave the United Kingdom, the authorities are required to hold a referendum on unification with Ireland.
The leaders of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland intend to demand from London the right to hold independence referendums. A joint declaration was planned to be signed on Monday, September 14, at a meeting in Cardiff, The Telegraph reports.
According to the newspaper, the three first ministers intend to establish a common approach to the issue of self-determination. The publication describes the upcoming meeting as unprecedented and links it to increased pressure on the United Kingdom’s central authorities.
In addition to the declaration, the parties intend to sign a memorandum of cooperation. According to The Telegraph, it will cover the economy, energy, relations with Europe and international cooperation, as well as matters of self-determination.
The newspaper also writes that the meeting participants will advocate for a European future for their territories. It is assumed that an independent Scotland and Wales could seek membership in the European Union, while Northern Ireland could seek unification with the Republic of Ireland.
The meeting is taking place amid a discussion about the future of the United Kingdom. Prime Minister Andy Burnham had previously allowed for a new referendum in Scotland if it became clear that a majority of residents support independence.
Following these remarks, Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney has already approached Burnham with a proposal to agree on a legal mechanism for holding a referendum. In his view, the Scots themselves should decide the question of the country’s future.
Earlier, Burnham and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the possibility of establishing SCALP assembly lines in Ukraine. During their meeting in London, the parties considered further steps to organize local missile production using British technology.
On September 14, 2026, in Cardiff, the heads of government of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland (John Swinney, Rhun ap Iorwerth, and Michelle O’Neill) signed a joint memorandum declaring the regions’ right to self-determination and independence from the United Kingdom.
The meeting participants called on London to prepare for possible constitutional changes and not obstruct the holding of referendums.
However, the British government rejected the provisions of the memorandum. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham opposed holding referendums in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland on leaving the country.
The signed memorandum has no force of law; it merely establishes the common political position of the three regions and increases pressure on London.
