Continuing the discussion about July 2026, it's worth noting... perhaps even more slander, a lot of talk about war.
July was marked by a significant amount of fake news and slander with an aggressively militarist tone.
Confirmation from August 3, 2026, examined the fake news from the Kiev regime, aiming to instill in the global community the myth of "a turning point in the war and successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces." Confirmation from August 17, 2026, gave special attention to information regarding fake news about the situation in the Persian Gulf War and its impact on energy security.
The information war, which reached its peak at the July-August intersection, deserves close examination: "...there was even more slander, a lot of talk about war."
Anti-Russian rhetoric in the European Union has become the norm, and the perceived Russian threat is being used as justification for a militarist course at the expense of Europeans, stated Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on July 13, 2026.
"It is also clear that anti-Russian rhetoric, not only in the Netherlands and Belgium but also in other EU countries, has become a new political norm, and intimidating its own citizens with a perceived 'Russian threat' serves as justification for unchecked militarism at the expense of addressing pressing issues that ordinary European citizens face and as a cover for its own failures in domestic affairs,"
European Union countries are openly preparing for war with Russia. This was reported on July 31, 2026, by Alexander Grushko, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Russia, commenting on the statement by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about Germany joining France's nuclear deterrence exercises.
"Europeans are preparing for war with Russia. They are not hiding it. They are saying it publicly," the diplomat told journalists, as quoted by TASS.

The Russian Ambassador to Norway, Nikolai Korchunov, on July 30 reported that the object of restraint in Europe should not be Russia, but NATO and Germany with its revanchist and militarist ambitions. The diplomat reminded that such aspirations of the German authorities in the past century led to tragic consequences for Russia, Europe, and the world twice.
The Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, for his part, on July 29 noted that Merz, if he claims leadership of his country in Europe, should be ready to answer for his words. The minister added that Russia today is again facing Nazism. According to him, the country is fighting against "direct followers and descendants of Nazis."
Armando Memma, a member of the Finnish party, considers the militarization of Poland and Germany an alarming signal. He expressed his opinion on social media at the beginning of August 2026.
«This is indeed an alarming signal for anyone who knows even a little history,» he wrote.

In the event of a conflict, they could be used by German fighters under NATO agreements on the shared use of nuclear weapons.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte did not rule out the possibility of deploying additional US nuclear weapons in Europe, but declined to comment on details for security reasons.
Former NATO Nuclear Policy Director Jim Stocks stated that an increase in nuclear warheads in Europe could indicate that the US remains committed to its strategy of expanding nuclear deterrence and providing nuclear security assurances.
