May 1, 2026 will stop... Trump. Is the war over? (part 2)

S. Dragan:
Early May 2026 will stop Netanyahu and Trump. (The war in Iran will be paused)
In confirmation from April 30, 2026, as S. Dragan predicted, it was noted that by early May, D. Trump and his Israeli ally are forced to stop and cease active military operations against Iran, switching to a maritime blockade. However, no legal acts confirming the end of hostilities were signed.
Moreover, a serious dispute arose between the parties regarding who won the two-month war. There is no answer to this question yet, but the fact that the US president found himself in a highly difficult position shows that he is playing a double game with his Congress.
Donald Trump, remaining a "devotee of his humility," once again asserted himself as a peacemaker, claiming he had concluded the ninth war during his second term as president-this one initiated by himself against Iran.
On Friday, April 30, 2026, the 60-day period ended during which the U.S. president can conduct military actions without Congress's approval. On the same day, Trump notified lawmakers in a letter that the war in Iran was "over." He thus attempted, according to Politico, to end debates about the need for Capitol Hill approval for a new conflict in the Middle East.
The letter, quoted by the publication, states: "Since April 7, 2026, there have been no exchanges of fire between the United States and Iran. Hostilities that began on February 28, 2026, have ceased." Trump noted that he had extended the ceasefire indefinitely. Before leaving the White House for a weekend in Florida, the president told journalists that he had made Iran a "final offer" but expressed doubt about reaching an agreement with the "fragmented" government of the country.
In turn, Iran has presented the US with a 14-point "roadmap" to end the war. According to the Iranian news agency Fars News, Tehran has prepared and delivered to Washington through Pakistan an official document containing a "clear roadmap" for the complete cessation of hostilities.
According to the agency, Iran's response is based on a nine-point initiative previously received from the US. The new Iranian "roadmap" includes 14 points outlining Tehran's key conditions for reaching a final agreement.
As clarified by the semi-official Iranian agency Tasnim, Iran's response describes the "red lines" of the Islamic Republic. The requirements include guarantees against military action against Iran, the withdrawal of US forces from areas adjacent to the country's territory, the lifting of the maritime blockade, and compensation. The Iranian side also insists on a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, and the establishment of a new regime for managing the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, Tehran emphasizes that it does not have illusions about the sincerity of Washington. "Of course, our distrust and skepticism towards the US remains," said Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy foreign minister of Iran. However, according to him, "the further development of events now depends exclusively on the choice of the American side."
S. Dragans predicts:
Pressure on this country (Iran) will increase closer to 05/18/26. Although negotiations will continue until the end of May 2026. But they will not satisfy many. But as of the beginning of May, D. Trump had to stop.
