S. Dragan:
Well, we've reached a threshold of profound and globally significant changes. The month of July 2026 could intensify many circumstances and tie together all the hot topics, the resolution of which many secretly hoped for. And I wouldn't be surprised if cultural themes, the topic of children, suddenly become more relevant than ever.
According to various expert estimates, by July 2026, the topic of children in Russia has indeed taken center stage - and not coincidentally. This is influenced by several trends and events.
Government Support
Since the start of the year, programs have been launched that bring culture closer to children. For example, the initiative "Children's Book Card" ("Golden Key") for preschoolers aged 3-6 is being actively developed: families are expected to receive 3,000 rubles per year for books. This is part of a broader effort to create equal access to literature and art for children, regardless of their region. Simultaneously, the "Pushkin Card" for youth aged 14-22 is being implemented, adding master classes, festivals, and creative meetings.
Focus on Development and Creativity
Various regions host specialized intensives and camps where children can immerse themselves in the arts. A bright example is the third season of the AGUIKKI Summer Creative Intensive in Yakutia (concluded at the end of July). Kids honed their oratory and acting skills, painting, digital design, video game development, and dance. Such projects not only unlock creative potential but also help develop communication skills and self-confidence.
Discussions on Values
Public debates intensify regarding which arts and cultural references should be supported. For instance, platforms like the "Slavyansky Bazaar" echo opinions that technology and AI should not replace human creativity. This sparks dialogue about the role of culture and how to nurture children's aesthetic taste and value systems.
Social Initiatives
The theme of childhood in general remains in the focus of the state agenda. In July, discussions focused on the modernization of children's rest and health infrastructure.
In general, in July 2026, these themes converged into one powerful focus: the state, business, and society as a whole are betting on providing children with tools for development, and making culture accessible to different generations.
